Find out which stars and other notables were born in the month of December.

In an industry propped up by hits, the programming landscape is typically dominated by misses. Roughly 80% of all new shows fail; about a third of this year's freshman crop won't even make it past January. Figures like these have driven many to question network television's costly model, but none to actually alter it. And so it goes, another season of turkeys, as we've affectionately dubbed the shows that have already gotten the ax or are dangerously close to it.

When most people think turkey, they think of the North American gallinaceous bird we chow down on for Thanksgiving. But here at Wonderwall, turkey reminds us of people like Christina Aguilera and Ben Affleck. Why? 'Cause their major career flops are unforgettable. So in celebration of the upcoming holiday, we're counting down the biggest pop culture turkeys. Gobble gobble!

To compile our list of the biggest turkeys of 2010, we compared global box office with each film's estimated budget to come up with a percentage of the budget each film earned back. They are ranked from the worst up.

A lot of kids' books are funny. Not these. They're the saddest books I've ever seen. I started crying while I was scrolling through Amazon reading some of these titles. Some parents face brutal challenges, and explaining it all to their children must be the hardest thing they ever have to do. And some kids are forced to confront the kinds of tragedies many adults never even face in a lifetime. Some people are very brave

Gus Shows off His Handmade Pug-Spider Halloween Costume
Sandie Samuells made a pug-spider Halloween costume for her little black pug dog named Gus. Gus has since worn his costume when he is out walking and at several events. It isn’t every day people see pug-spider so there have been plenty of photo opportunities. Lucky for us, Sandie took advantage of them.
I contacted Sandie for permission to use her Flickr photos and asked if she could tell me a little about the costume. Here’s what she said, “Since he is a black pug, I thought it would be cute to dress Gus as a tarantula. I found a spider ornament (sold as a home decoration) that had these long, furry pipe cleaner legs and I used those to make the legs of the costume. I used black craft fur and cut out a dog “coat” using one of Gus’ jackets as a pattern. A glue gun to attach the legs, some velcro to close the coat and voila.

The most important ingredient here is a very patient pug! Once he has the costume on, Gus doesn’t even know why people are staring at him! In fact, sometimes he gets stuck because he doesn’t realize how wide he is and tries to squeeze through ‘normal’ width places.”

Other inspired to make their own dogs’ Halloween costumes, will be hard-pressed to do better than Gus’ scary pug-spider garb.
