LARRY HAGMAN is reprising his role as the villainous J. R. Ewing for a new pilot episode of soap opera DALLAS, reports CBS.
LARRY HAGMAN will join original cast members including LINDA GREY and PATRICK DUFFY to film a new pilot series.
DALLAS originally ran from 1978 to 1991 as a prime-time soap opera that followed the story of a millionaire Texas oil family. The show slowly became one of the most successful productions in television history and captured a record breaking audience of 350 million worldwide for its final episode, where viewers tuned in to find out 'Who Shot J.R?'. 70-year-old actress Grey will once again play Ewing's wife 'Sue Ellen' while Duffy will again play his younger brother Bobby. They will be joined by newcomers JOSH HENDERSON and JORDANA BREWSTER. It is reported that the pilot will focus on Ewing's children as they clash over the future of the family dynasty, however, network TNT are yet to confirm when production will begin.
CYNTHIA CIDRE, who penned the 1992 movie 'The Mambo Kings', has written the new pilot episode. The project will still require to green light from TNT bosses before it can be developed into a full series.
