Prince William and Kate Middleton have picked a wedding cake flavor ... and it's fruitcake! Sources are reporting the couple have chosen to serve fruitcake to their guests, who will include everyone from stuffy English royals to the ultimate sexy, fashionable couple, Posh and Becks.

William & Kate's Wedding Fruitcake
Although most Americans think fruitcake should only be eaten by force at your weird aunt's house during the holidays, fruitcake is actually a traditional British wedding staple.

It's also a British tradition to save the top layer of the wedding cake so it can be served at the christening of the couple's first child.

Sure, you've seen the royal couple's formal engagement pictures. But have you seen them rendered in turkey, cauliflower and roast beef? English artist Prudence Staite used the ingredients of a traditional Sunday supper to create an edible portrait of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The tribute (it really is meant to be a tribute) took hours to create, and features a chopped carrot dress for Kate and a shirt made of peas, cauliflower and green beans for William. Her now-famous ring? Gravy.

Love Among the Royals
